Film and Lecture with Viggo Mortensen in Sandpoint, Idaho, June 8, 2012 A Dangerous Method

The panhandle of Idaho may be rough and rugged, with mountain terrain interspersed with alpine meadows and mountain lakes. Sandpoint, Idaho is located on the north point of Lake Pend Oreille, near the Canadian border, Sandpoint is a trendy town with a vibrant arts scene. The Panida Theatre contributes to the arts by providing a venue for arts performers and fundraising events.

On Friday, June 8, 2012, the Panida Theatre hosts a showing of A Dangerous Method, a film starring Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightly, Michael Fassbender, and Vincent Cassel. The 2011 film tells the story of the beginning of psychoanalysis as developed by Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Their work is influenced by a patient turned lover turned colleague, as played by Keira Knightly. Viggo Mortensen, who portrays Freud, is listed on the schedule as attending the Sandpoint screening at the Panida Theatre.
